Can a drain (leach) field be repaired?

The simple answer is Yes, they often times can be repaired, depending on the cause of the failure in the first place as we discussed in FAQ Why does a drain field plug? Most of the current ways of repairing a drain field are very expensive and range from fracking with high pressure air to break up the ground to replacing the entire drain field with a different kind of system. There are to many possibilities to list here but there is another way that may correct the drain field problem quite easily.
Overdose the system with up to a gallon of TankTechsRx for Septic Systems after the system is pumped out. Just use it normally after that. That is what we did with our original test tank. The water was standing 15 inches over the top of the tank and drain lines. We added TankTechsRx for Septic Systems and used the system normally. One year later the water was all back in the tank and drain field and has run normally since 2006 without any further pumping as of 2019.
